Me, Julio and the Comet

Talking of lunacy (below), yesterday, my stalker friend messaged me to tell me that there was a comet in the sky. Of course I got very excited by this and rushed about the room looking out all of the windows only to find none of them faced the right way. Having gone outside and located it (it was excellent), I rushed back into the office to tell everyone of confirmed sighting of said comet. Not one single person came to have a look. Can you believe that? No one was even the slightest bit interested. Weird, I’d say. Perhaps their bodies have been taken over by excitement gobbling aliens and that’s why I couldn’t muster a single ounce of enthusiasm from anyone.

Anyway, I will say it again, they were weird and it was exciting. I have set my alarm for optimum viewing time based on a complicated equation involving the position of the sun, the moon, various planets and where I eat my pasta lunch (oh, ok, I just go out when it starts getting dark). Today is apparently the last opportunity to see it.

p.s. in case you’re interested, today’s incessant-singing-in-head song is Me and Julio by Paul Simon. Could be worse I guess – could have been the next song they played – “Sign your Name” by Terrence Trent D’Arby. (Honestly – what’s that apostrophe all about?)
