Sorry – how very neglectful – to leave you teetering on the edge of bargain information…
So last Wednesday evening, after having supped a few glasses of bargain number 1, I found myself in asda, where they inconveniently put the clothing section right at the front of the store. So I thought I’d just peruse the aisles momentarily, see if there were any bargains to be had, only to find myself loading my arms full of pretty much everything they were selling (perhaps a little artistic licence used there).
So, arms laden with bargain goodies, I made my way to the fitting rooms only to find they had closed two minutes earlier at 8. Grrr. However I am a resourceful girl, they have mirrors, so I whipped off the majority of my clothes (while maintaining my lady-like modesty) and tried on mid-shop. I actually only tried 3 dresses in honesty – and I’ve tried dresses in asda before to find that they just don’t fit me properly (which is part depressing and part relief-inducing – as it leaves me with some money in my bank).
To my horror, however all three dresses fitted and I found myself at the till announcing to the teller that the fitting rooms were closed so I hadn’t been able to try them on – so I might bring them back. So three dresses better off and £57 worse off. The Older and Wiser Ms Jones has since pointed out to me that it’s only a bargain if I wear the three dresses (I’m not much of a dress wearer – she may have a point…).
