What Every Girl Wants.

Is there anything better than home made pizza? I have gorged myself senseless on it. I only meant to eat half of it, but The Old Man is making me watch Matrix Reloaded, which is frankly terrible and I have therefore had to resort to stuffing my face to keep myself occupied.

It has been a bad week for the tube. I have been inordinately delayed several times, however none so much as on Tuesday, when I was stuck in a tunnel for an hour and forty minutes, sweating out my own body weight (not literally of course, because then I would be very thin, and surveying the belly this laptop is resting on, I note that I am not very thin).

A very kind man gave up his seat for me after half an hour and didn't want it back when I offered it to him 20 minutes later. Possibly he was regretting that by the hundredth minute of standing, but insisted on all offers of having his seat back that standing was his most favourite thing on earth.

In other news, I am due a birthday imminently, which would be very exciting if only I didn't have to work on it. There is almost no point in having a birthday if you are going to work on it, and I have therefore postponed my birthday until the following weekend, when I am going on a wine tasting extravaganza. The Older, Wiser Ms Jones, her Old Man, my Old Man and I are going to do a home wine tasting - six bottles of wine and oodles of birthday cake. Does life get any better?

And finally, I almost forgot to tell you, I am in training to be Santa. Yes, this year, I shall be Santa on Sunday 6th December. Exciting stuff, eh - everyone gets a free Santa outfit! What more could a girl want (other than to see John Simm in Speaking In Tongues)?
