Sorry - it's been ages. That's how life is as a redhead. Hectic.
The hair has transformed from its previous gothy dried-blood-redness, to a rather more lightish red-wineness. And I now love it. It has gone down very well in general, in fact. I have had many comments about it, all of which have been positive. Marvellous.
However the problem now is the "styling". I explained to the hairdresser that I have no hairdryer and that I just leave my hair to do whatever it wants. I'm not sure the hairdresser believed me. They tend not to - there are hairdryers and products in hairdressers for everything. They have sprays that make your hair dry quicker, hairdryers to start off the drying process, hairdryers for curling your hair under, hairdryers for that annoying bit of fringe that's sticking out...
So when I washed my hair and left it, as I had told the hairdresser I would, by the time I got to work, I did not find my hair looking like it did when I came out of the hairdresser. Oh no. Instead, I found a puffy, slightly crazed look. Not what I was going for. Despite the fact that I went out and bought random products to put on my hair to make it look like the hairdresser did.
So now, I have had to do an awful thing. I have had to buy a hairdryer. I am now an official Hairdryer Owner. Nine pounds, that hairdryer cost me. I am going to put it into action tomorrow too. I had a choice of two - I consulted The Old Man. He told me to go for the nine pound one because it has emergency power off. In case I get all my hair caught in the back of it in some hair burning accident, he said. That's faith.
