And They're Stripped...

Well, it looks like the Paint and Varnish Stripper works.  Think I need to perfect my technique a bit - and I'm not sure what the lighter smudge on the back left hand tile is.  Possibly paint that has not quite come off - although it doesn't look like it close up.

Possibly it's because I'm using the wrong chemicals.  When I took the solution off, it had quite a red tint - so I think it's sapping some colour from the tiles - though given the state of them before I put the stripper on, I guess a bit of colour loss is not going to make them worse.

I'm not even sure what the tiles are made of, so it could be that I'm actually doing bad things to them - would be good to know for sure - however as the stripper looks to be working, I suspect I'll just plough on...
