A Very Foolish Thing

I did a very foolish thing last night.

I decided to clear out some of the junk I have accumulated (hence below tutorial post). I carted two large bags of old clothes downstairs to the living room where there is most space. And where the telly is my friend.

Forgetting why these clothes were in bags, I started to take a liking to some of them. This is where the foolishness begins. I started trying things on.

I know at this point that if you have read any of the rest of my blog, you will be rolling your eyes and questioning “WHY, Ms Jones, WHY”?

Unfortunately, I don’t benefit from the same foresight that you happen to have. And therefore after having tried on almost everything I came across (and, predictably, none of it fitting), the evening ended with a quivering bottom lip and a promise to myself never to eat again.

This morning, Nancy’s (Nancy Drew for goodness sake – what do you mean “who’s Nancy”?) advice to me was:

“Never sleuth on an empty stomach”.

Which left me in a quandary – do I starve myself as promised last night, or do I listen to Nancy?

I suspect you know which I went for.
